world traveler

OK, so Eli is not a world traveler-yet! He has only been as far as Castle Rock or Boulder. Haha. But, lucky for him mommy has sophisticated friends who do travel the world and bring him back gifts. Below is Eli in his new pair of silk pajamas, brought back from Thailand from Auntie Regan. Also, Auntie Marissa brought back a beautiful African shirt from Ghana. The shirt from Ghana is still a little too big but we wanted to try it on anyway.  0ccvcccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

Umm...excuse me, that last part was from Eli who is helping me write this post.

Once Eli grows out of these beautiful things I think I will frame them and put them in his room to go along with his whole Nautical/Explorer theme!

ooooh, this silk feels nice!

Mom, is this a dress?

OK cool, it's a shirt!

the artists process

Meet the artist, Eli Collins (aka 'boots.')

We were lucky enough to have him share his process with us...

His tools: Craft paper, pureed blueberries (which you can also have for breakfast, preferably before.)

Step one: Dump out your color of choice, get your hand in it and also your legs

Step two: Roll onto your tummy and get really serious about it...

Step three: Ask your mom not to bother you in the middle of your 'process'

The final product!!

So Eli made his first piece of 'art' today, hahaha. I've seen a few other moms out there in the blogosphere try this with pureed food, and thought it was such a neat idea. Eli had alot of fun making a mess, but let me warn you it was messy and did require a quick rinse in the sink after-wards. But well worth it!!

a picnic

Eli and I took advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having and headed to the park to have a picnic. We both really enjoyed it, Eli loves to be outside.

Eli had some milk and I had a sandwich, then we shared an apple, in case you were curious... :)

and here's another cute one when we were getting ready:

I look like a little leprechaun with my belly

Is a pot of gold under one of these hats???

June, not so thrilled with his hat.

swing and slide

Hi guys,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. It was beautiful here in Denver and so we tried to be outside as much as possible. Saturday morning we went to breakfast and after-wards walked around Cheesman Park. Once Eli woke from his nap in the stroller we took him over to the play-ground. He especially loved his first ride in a swing.

Eli in the future?

So I came across this photo of this adorable boy awhile ago and I thought to myself 'is this Eli in the future? It kind of looks like him...?' So I thought I'd do a photo comparison. ;)

a little bit of our weekend...

Hi again, hope everyone had a nice weekend, we did! We didn't do much of anything at all, just hung out at home and fixed some stuff around the house. I apologize for the lack of posts last week, I'm not sure what happened there...

Anyway, here are some shots of Eli being 'Eli.' :)
