you know you're a mom when...

You find a pacifier stuck in your hair.

 Or, when you leave the house with no shoes on. Yes, I have done both these things. Today I left the house in just my socks, but lucky for me I got only to my back porch.

a little bit of our weekend...

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We did! We went to dinner Friday night and the bookstore on Saturday and b-fast and a walk on Sunday, it was very quiet and nice. I also got to have a little break and enjoy some girl time, my girlfriends and I went to dinner and the Nutcracker Sunday night and had so much fun. We also did a white elephant gift exchange of our favorite beauty item, I scored a set of L'ociitaine hand creams... which are my favorite!!!

                                  This is an oldie but goodie, and makes me cry each time we read it.

                       A dear friend gave me this book for Eli, and since we have 2 cats we find it most amusing!

 I bought this book for my niece a few years ago on a trip to D.C. and we loved it, so funny. Now I see it everywhere.

 I discovered this book for Eli at our local bookstore here this summer and immediately fell in love. I love all the different types of quiet she describes and the illustrations are so whimsical.

a little bit of our weekend...

Hi friends! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a pretty good weekend here at the Collins home. Eli finally started to feel better this weekend from his foot surgery on Tuesday. I think it helped having daddy home. :) We went for a nice walk (although I was dumb and wore ballet flats and ended up giving myself blisters-Stupid!) We also enjoyed a nice dinner out with Indian food; my favorite! And Scott played with his new iphone app and took lots of silly pictures of Eli.

Eli looks so surprised here, hahaha. I hope his recovery continues to go well and that he sleeps as well as he did last-night! Till next time...
